John Hampden Grammar School
Project Details
Due to the ongoing growth of the John Hampden Grammar School we were commissioned to provide civil and structural engineering services for a new three-storey sixth form teaching block, comprising 15 classrooms and staff rooms.
The building features a steel frame structure with precast concrete floors – designed to minimise the construction time on site (relying on off-site fabrication as much as possible) to deliver the block within the required timeframe.
Particular attention is paid to sustainable drainage, resulting in a soakaway/swale design for the storm water.
